Pray for your students as they are learning to manage their tasks, emotions, spiritual growth and relationships with others! They are such good kids, but fifth grade is academically challenging and full of personal change as well.

LANGUAGE ARTS: Helping verbs, irregular verbs, verbs everywhere! We’ll start an essay over Shackleton soon, then watch the movie of the adventure of the Endurance.
SPELLING: Lesson 20 Due Friday
SOCIAL STUDIES: The origins of the American Revolution (see book above), the Revolution, and the Constitution
State Map due Thursday
STATES AND CAPITALS: #16-23 Bismarck, North Dakota; Pierre, South Dakota; Lincoln,Nebraska; Topeka, Kansas; Des Moines, Iowa, Jefferson City, Missouri; Saint Paul, Minnesota; Madison, Wisconsin; Springfield, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana. Quiz on Friday. I locate them by number and the students spell the state and capital correctly by the number.
LIBRARY: Bring books to turn in on Wednesday.
SCIENCE: Learning the main bones of the human body by name, the structure and other jobs of our bones, and muscles.
