FAMOUS PERSON REPORT DUE February 19, 2015
- Find a famous person born in your state. Parentally supervised internet searches, library books about your state, or an encyclopedia (even an old one) are good places to look.
- Find a few important facts about your person to include in your report. Include the following: birth date, death date if they lived long ago or have passed on, city of birth, personal details, accomplishments, and “claim to fame” (why they are well-known.)
- Using your facts, create a report about your person. Write 5-7 complete sentences. Use good transition words, dates, places, and important facts.
- Writing conventions of spelling, punctuation, and correct capitalization must be used.
- Do not plagiarize (copy). Put information into your own words. Use a thesaurus if you are stuck on how to reword a sentence or idea.
- Include a brief, handwritten or typed list of places you found your information.
- Report may be typed or neatly handwritten.
- Title : (Famous Person’s name), Famous Citizen of (Your State)
- A photo or drawing of your person must be included, no smaller than 2” by 3”.
