STATE FLOWER EXPECTATIONS 4/5 only Washington State Flower DUE 1/23/2014
**I find it easier to work from a drawing off the computer or a print out.
1. Use only the paper provided. Make a practice drawing first on scratch paper.
2. Using pencil, lightly draw your image of the state flower onto the 5 inch white square. Center it and fill most of the square. No tiny flowers. NO TRACING-neat, not perfect!
3. Color using map pencil. Leave the background white. Outline all lines in ultra fine point sharpie.
4. Mount it on the gray square using glue stick. Center it carefully.
5. Write the state flower’s name continuously around the edge of the white paper on the gray square. Use small neat lettering. Spell correctly. Go in the same direction all the way around, even if it’s upside down on the bottom STATEand sideways on the sides. You may do this lightly in pencil first, but make sure the final result is ultra fine point sharpie for your lettering.
6. Mount the two layer picture onto the center of the large special paper. Title it “Washington State Flower” on the top above the picture.
7. Below the picture, type or neatly write the name of the flower.
8. Put your name on the back in pencil along with the date.
9. DONE! I can’t wait to see your lovely work!
