The Penderwicks on Garden Street
I read The
Penderwicks on Garden Street by Jeanne Birdsall. Skye, one of the four Penderwick sisters, is
trying to find out who their widowed father is going out on blind dates with.
But he would not tell them so Skye and her other sisters asked question till
their father told them that he was not going out with a real person. Instead he
was reading a book somewhere quiet.
My favorite
part of the book is when Skye fainted because she was afraid. I also liked it when Jane shouted’’Yoo hoo! Daddy’s
car won’t start.” I was surprised when Mr. Penderwick admitted that
he wasn’t going out. Mr. Penderwick reminds me of my dad because he is so kind.
